Five Tasks to Test Before Sharing a Wedding Website
A wedding website is ready when a guest can use it, not just when its opening animation looks attractive. Give a fresh tester five tasks on a phone and watch where they hesitate.
Test the information journey
Ask the tester to identify who is getting married, find the date of their event, distinguish arrival from ceremony time, open the venue route and explain how to RSVP. Let them work without coaching. If they need your explanation, the page needs a clearer label or a better information order.
Test the interaction journey
Open the link from the messaging app you will use, try the RSVP with a clearly labelled test submission, and check its confirmation. Use the back button after opening the map. Rotate the phone and increase text size to see whether essential controls remain usable.
Finish with a clean handover
Remove the test response and note any unresolved issue before sending the real invitation. Also try a fresh browser where no editor is logged in. A page that works for its owner can still fail for a guest. Save the tested URL in the invitation sheet so relatives do not accidentally share an older draft.
