Add a Clear “Last Updated” Note to a Wedding Schedule
Guests may return to a wedding website weeks after first opening it. A small update note helps them notice a meaningful change without rereading the entire invitation or guessing which screenshot is current.
Mark changes that affect plans
Use a date and a short explanation beside the schedule: “Updated 7 September: reception arrival is now 7 pm; venue unchanged.” Distinguish a real event change from a spelling fix. Repeatedly changing the date without explaining what moved can make guests uncertain about their arrangements.
Keep a single current schedule
Show the confirmed timing prominently and remove obsolete instructions from the main event card. If useful, keep one short correction notice rather than a long history of drafts. Make sure downloadable PDFs and calendar entries are reviewed at the same time.
Notify guests directly
An updated page does not guarantee that everyone will reopen it. Send affected households a concise message linking to the current schedule, and telephone guests who rely on printed cards. Before publishing, ask a helper to identify the event, date, arrival time and venue from the updated page. If any answer requires guesswork, simplify the note.
