What to Do With Your Wedding Website After the Celebration
Decide whether your wedding website will become a keepsake, remain a guest resource or close after the event. A short post-wedding plan prevents outdated RSVP forms and personal travel details from remaining public unnecessarily.
Save what matters
Keep private copies of the invitation wording, approved photographs, artwork and any song files you are entitled to retain. Ask your provider what can be exported and what depends on the website staying hosted. A screenshot is useful for memories but is not a complete backup of a working site.
Remove time-sensitive information
Close RSVP collection and replace it with a thank-you note if the site stays online. Review transport schedules, room information and personal contact numbers. Do not publish the guest list or attendance responses as part of a keepsake gallery.
Agree the next date
Confirm renewal, expiry and deletion arrangements with whoever manages the site. If you add wedding photos, obtain the relevant permissions and decide whether access should be restricted. Tell guests how long the gallery will be available if you know. Keep a reminder for the host to review the page instead of assuming that event information disappears when the wedding ends.
