Sharing a Wedding Contact Without Publishing a Personal Number

Some hosts want guests to reach them without placing a personal phone number on a public invitation page. Choose a contact arrangement that matches the audience and make sure someone is responsible for replying.

Separate the channels

A public website can offer a general enquiry route while invited households receive a designated guest-help contact privately. If you use a form, test where submissions arrive and whether the host can respond. A form that nobody checks is less useful than a clearly managed phone contact.

Set expectations

Tell guests which channel handles RSVP, arrival questions and urgent event-day issues. For example, “For guest arrangements, please use the contact shared in your invitation message.” Avoid directing everyone to a commercial support line unless that team has agreed to coordinate the event.

Review before sharing

Check the page source, downloadable PDF and social preview for numbers copied from earlier drafts. A phone number displayed as an image is still public information. Confirm each helper's agreement and remove event-only contacts when they are no longer needed. The aim is a reachable host with deliberate sharing, not an invitation that leaves guests unable to ask a practical question.
