Writing a Wedding Parking Note Without Confusing Guests
A parking note should say where guests may park and how to reach the event from there. Verify the arrangement with the venue; a nearby open space is not necessarily available for wedding parking.
Collect the useful facts
Ask which gate vehicles enter, whether parking is self-service or valet, what charges guests should expect if any, and whether taxis use a separate drop-off. Check whether accessible parking spaces require advance coordination. Do not assume that all these arrangements are included in your venue booking.
Use clear directions
“Guest parking is at [confirmed area], accessed from [road/gate]. From there, follow signs to [event space]. Taxi drop-off is at [point]. For arrival assistance, contact [host representative].” If parking is limited, say so and provide a confirmed alternative rather than promising a space for every car.
Test and update
Have someone follow the route before the event if possible. Review the map pin and any venue photograph for misleading entrances. Share parking instructions with the shuttle coordinator and welcome team. If the venue changes the arrangement, send a dated correction and replace the old note wherever guests may still be reading it.
