Two Languages, One Approved Event Schedule
An illustrative planning story about bilingual invitation proofing. The translation issues and family are fictional examples intended to show a review method.
The situation
A family approves the English event time and then changes the reception arrival by half an hour. The translated panel still carries the earlier timing because it was maintained in a separate design file. Both panels look polished, so the discrepancy is easy to overlook.
The planning decision
The coordinator creates matching rows for each language: names, host line, event, date, time, address and RSVP. A fluent reader checks meaning and a second reviewer compares factual fields. Changes are marked against both versions before the next export.
The useful detail
The final visual proof is checked again for font rendering and line breaks. Text that was correct in a message could still be clipped or displayed incorrectly in the exported design. The family checks the file on a phone before approving it for sharing.
What to borrow
Keep translations connected to one current fact sheet and approve meaning separately from appearance. In this example, a side-by-side review would expose the mismatched time. It would not replace a competent language reviewer or establish that automatic translation is adequate for family titles and ceremony terms.
