What Should an Indian Wedding Website Include for Guests?
An Indian wedding website should answer three questions quickly: which events am I invited to, where and when do I arrive, and how should I respond? Put these details ahead of galleries, music or the couple story.

Start with an unmistakable invitation
Show the couple’s names, a clear invitation message and the wedding date near the top. Use family names and ceremonial wording agreed by the hosts. Write dates with the month spelled out so guests do not have to interpret a numeric date.
For each invited event, include its name, day and date, guest arrival time, venue name and address. Distinguish arrival time from a ceremony start when both matter. Do not list a private family event as though every visitor is invited.
Add the information that helps people attend
Provide a checked map destination and any entrance, parking or accessibility notes guests actually need. Travel or accommodation guidance can be useful for out-of-town guests; state clearly what guests must book themselves.
Give one response method and a deadline. If you include a form, explain whether one reply covers a household or an individual. If replies are by phone or message, identify the appropriate host contact with that person’s consent.
Keep optional content purposeful
Dress guidance helps when it is specific: “Outdoor lawn; comfortable shoes recommended” is more useful than “dress beautifully.” A short story or a few photos can personalise the invitation, but essential information should remain easy to reach on a phone.
Before sharing, ask a guest unfamiliar with the plans to find the venue, arrival time and response instructions. Fix anything they have to guess.
Frequently asked questions
Must we include our whole love story?
No. It is optional. A concise invitation with accurate event details can serve guests well without a story or photo gallery.
Should we show all events on one page?
Only show events in a way that makes each guest’s invitation scope clear. If audiences differ, agree how the site or invitation versions will distinguish them.
