A Useful Welcome Message for a Wedding WhatsApp Group
A wedding group works best when its purpose is clear. Use the welcome message to explain which events it covers, where the current schedule lives and how guests can ask private questions.
Get the group scope right
Ask guests before adding them where practical, and avoid mixing unrelated invite lists. A group for travel coordination does not need every reception guest. Remember that group members may be able to see one another's contact details; offer a direct-message option.

Keep it useful through the week
Post one consolidated update when possible, with a date and a clear heading. Ask guests not to share identity documents or booking references in the group. After the celebration, say when coordination messages will end and ask before turning the group into a permanent photo-sharing space. A small, predictable group is easier for guests to use.
