How to Tell Wedding Guests Which Venue Gate to Use
A correct venue name can still lead guests to the wrong entrance. A gate notice should identify the entrance in words, give a verified pin, and explain what guests will see when they arrive.
Verify the entrance
Ask the venue which gate is open for your event and whether pedestrians, taxis and coaches use different entrances. Check the route from the road rather than trusting a pin placed at the centre of the property. Confirm step-free access separately if guests need it.
Write the arrival note
“For [event], please use Gate 2 on [road], beside [recognisable landmark]. The main hotel lobby entrance is for other events. Taxi drop-off is at [point]. Open the confirmed arrival pin here: [link]. If you need assistance, contact [designated person].” Share the contact's number only with their permission.
Keep every format aligned
Place the same wording beside the map button, in the final reminder and on the transport sheet. Do not circulate an old card that still names the closed gate without adding a correction. Have one person unfamiliar with the venue describe where the link takes them before you send it widely.
