A Cue Sheet for Playing Your Custom Song at the Wedding
A custom song needs a clear playback plan if it will accompany an entrance or ceremony moment. Give the person running audio a cue sheet and a tested file rather than relying on a message link at the last minute.
Define the cue
Record the song filename, the event moment, who gives the start signal and whether playback starts from the beginning or an agreed timestamp. State whether the track should finish, fade or stop on another cue. Confirm these choices with the couple and event coordinator.
Rehearse the timing
Try the actual walking or presentation sequence with the track. A favourite chorus may arrive too early or too late for the intended moment. Request any edit through the agreed production process rather than asking an unprepared helper to improvise it during the event.
Prepare a backup
Keep an offline copy you are permitted to use and test it on the venue's playback equipment. Check volume and avoid overlapping microphones or another track. Assign a backup person who knows where the file is stored. If the cue is missed, prioritise the ceremony's flow rather than restarting a moment without the couple's agreement.
