A Wedding Photo-Gallery Message Guests Will Understand
A photo-gallery message should explain what the link contains, who it is intended for and whether guests may repost the images. Avoid assuming that a family gallery is permission for public sharing.
Confirm the gallery settings
Open the link as a guest and check whether viewing or downloading requires an account or password. Make sure the intended audience can access it without receiving editing rights. Review the images for anything the couple or other people pictured do not want shared.
Adapt this message
“We have added a selection of wedding photos here: [link]. This gallery is for [intended audience]. Please check with us before posting photos of others publicly. If you would like an image removed, contact [name]. [Add any confirmed access or expiry note].” Only include restrictions the hosts have actually agreed.
Keep the link maintained
Choose one person to handle access problems and removal requests. If the gallery has an expiry date, say so before guests rely on it as their only copy. Do not share private photographer delivery credentials with every guest. A separate guest gallery or appropriate viewing link makes the experience clearer and keeps the original handover organised.
