Understand what each channel asks of the organiser
WhatsApp is familiar to many guests and allows a quick clarification. It also requires someone to read each message, identify the household and record the response. A message sent to another relative may never reach the person counting.
A website form can ask the same questions in the same order. Its usefulness depends on actual response storage and organiser access; confirm those before relying on it.
Keep a fallback without doubling the total
Tell guests which route you prefer and provide one alternative contact. If a guest messages after filling in the form, treat that message as a possible update to the same invitation.
