How Early Should You Create a Wedding Website?
Create your wedding website early enough to review it before you send invitations. Work backwards from the sharing date, not just the wedding date. Destination guests may need travel information well before local guests need final arrival instructions.

Choose the information guests need first
List the decisions guests must make: travel dates, leave from work, accommodation or attendance. Set the intended sharing date around those needs. A website cannot replace missing decisions, so clearly distinguish confirmed arrangements from details still to come.
Prepare the agreed couple and host names, event dates, venue details, invitation wording and any approved photos. Tell the designer which items are pending instead of filling gaps with guessed addresses or timings.
Allow production time plus your own review time
Love Solutions’ delivery times are 3–5 days for a wedding website based on a sample design and 7–10 days for a custom wedding website. Allow time to review the finished invitation before your intended sharing date.
Keep additional time for family wording review, corrections and testing before broad sharing. For example, if you want a custom website shared on a particular Friday, do not treat the preceding Thursday as a workable start date. Work backwards through production and review.
Plan what happens after the first share
Agree who can request changes, how those changes are made and how long the site is hosted. Keep one approved list of current event details so website and message updates agree.
Before sending the link widely, open the final page on a phone, check each venue destination and try the intended reply path without submitting real guest data. If testing submissions is needed, arrange a controlled test with the provider.
Frequently asked questions
Can we begin before every event time is final?
You can prepare wording and design choices, but explain which details are pending. Confirm the provider’s process for later changes before sharing a public invitation.
Is production time the same as the time needed before invitations go out?
No. Include time for your own approvals and checks after production, and choose the sharing date around guests’ planning needs.
