How to Share Birthday Venue Details on WhatsApp
Send the venue name, written address and a checked map link together in the WhatsApp message. Keep the date, time and host contact alongside them so guests can find the directions without replaying a video.

Confirm the place guests should arrive
Check the venue's exact name and address against your booking or the host's confirmed details. If the party is inside a hotel, club or activity centre, include the room, floor or entrance that guests need. A map pin for the whole property may leave families at the wrong gate.
Open the map destination and confirm that it represents the intended place. If there are several branches with similar names, check the neighbourhood and street as well. Describe a drop-off point only if the venue has confirmed it.
Send a message that can stand on its own
Copy this example and replace every field before sending it. It is a wording template, with no real child, address or contact details:
- Please join us for [First name]'s birthday on [Day, full date], from [Start time].
- Venue: [Venue name, room or floor if needed].
- Address: [Confirmed address].
- Directions: [Checked map link].
- Entrance note: [Useful confirmed instruction, or remove this line].

Put the real link beside the invitation
An address drawn inside an image or video does not provide a tappable map button. Paste the actual map URL in the accompanying message. If you share a birthday website, make sure its map action and written address point to the same venue.
Send the draft message to a helper and ask them to open the link on their phone. They should be able to identify the venue and arrive at the correct entrance without needing access to your map account. If the map is unclear, correct it before the main invitation goes out.
Keep changes and private addresses under control
If the venue changes, send an explicit correction naming the old and new venue. Update the website and any affected invitation files too. An old forwarded image or video will keep its original directions.
For a party at home, share the full address directly with the invited households rather than using a public social post. You can give confirmed guests extra arrival instructions privately. Avoid adding unrelated family information to a message that may be forwarded.
