Griha Pravesh Invitation: Separate Ceremony and Meal Times
A housewarming invitation should distinguish the ceremony from the meal or visiting window. Some guests may be invited to both, while others are joining later, so the schedule needs to reflect the host's actual plan.
Confirm the event details
Ask the family for the confirmed ceremony time, guest arrival time and meal arrangements. Religious timings and practices vary; use the family's approved information rather than copying a schedule from another invitation. Check the full date and weekday before design approval.
Use labelled lines
“Ceremony: [time]. Lunch: [time]. Visiting window: [if applicable].” If guests are invited only for lunch, say that in their message rather than showing an earlier ceremony as an open invitation. Include the apartment or venue directions beside the schedule.
Plan for a home setting
Tell guests about any confirmed building-entry or parking arrangements. Keep a realistic visiting window if the home cannot host everybody at once, and have a private contact for questions. If the ceremony runs longer than expected, ask a helper to communicate the meal update. The invitation gives guests a plan without claiming that every part of a family ceremony will run to a minute.
