How to Add a Venue Map Link to a PDF Wedding Invitation
A PDF can contain a clickable venue link when the editor adds a link annotation and the reader supports opening it. Test the downloaded file on the receiving phone; a printed map symbol alone does not create a working link.

Verify the destination before adding it
Open the map URL and confirm the venue branch, pin position and entrance. Compare it with the written address. If the venue has several buildings or gates, include a brief arrival note rather than assume the pin tells the whole story.
Keep the venue name and address visible in the invitation. A guest may use a reader that handles links differently, or may prefer to navigate with another app.
Use the editor settings for the correct pages
In the Love Solutions PDF editor, choose invitation images or an existing unlocked PDF. The editor offers the same link on all pages, a link on the last page, or different links per page. Blank page-wise link fields are skipped.
The editor adds a full-page tap area on linked pages. Its optional “Tap for map” watermark is a visual cue, not a separate small button. Use page-wise links for different venues and avoid adding a whole-page link over pages with other important clickable actions without checking for conflicts.
Test after downloading and receiving
Download the edited PDF, reopen it and tap each linked page. Check the actual destination, not just whether something opens. Then verify the received file in the intended sharing app and PDF reader.
If the recipient cannot use the PDF link, send the map URL separately in the message. A screenshot or printed copy cannot preserve the PDF’s clickable annotation.
Frequently asked questions
Does writing a map URL on artwork make it clickable?
Not reliably. The exported PDF needs an actual link annotation or a reader that detects the written URL. Verify the result rather than assume.
Can separate event pages open different venues?
The editor provides page-wise link fields. Assign the correct URL to each event page and test every exported link.
Will a map link work in every PDF viewer?
Reader behaviour can differ. Check the intended phones and keep the address and a separately shareable URL available.
