How to Avoid Blurry Wedding Invites on WhatsApp

Start with a sharp original, readable lettering and a clean export. Then send a test through the same route you will use for guests and inspect the received copy. A file that looks clear in an editor can still be hard to read once shared.

Separate a design problem from an export problem

Open the original at a normal phone viewing size. If the date is tiny, text sits over a busy photograph or thin decorative lettering disappears, changing the sending method will not fix the layout. Give event details a plain background and enough space.

If photographs are already fuzzy in the original, use a better source image. Enlarging a small image does not recreate missing detail.

Keep a master and make a separate sharing copy

Keep the approved original file separately. Export the sharing copy directly from it rather than taking a screenshot of a preview or repeatedly saving received copies.

For video, inspect the information scenes while the video is playing. Text needs enough time to be read; a sharp frame shown too briefly is still unusable. For an image, check the whole card before zooming in.

Compare the actual received file

  • Send the export to a willing test recipient using your intended sharing method.
  • Ask them to download or open the attachment, not judge only its preview.
  • Compare the names, venue line and small lettering with the master.
  • If clarity is poor, simplify the design or try a different export or attachment route and retest.
  • Repeat essential details in the message so the attachment is not the only readable source.

Frequently asked questions

Will a larger file always look better?

No. Source quality, lettering and export settings matter. Compare the received copy instead of choosing by file size alone.

Can a screenshot replace the final export?

A screenshot can introduce cropping or scaling. Use the approved export where possible and test that exact file.

Should we promise guests an HD version?

Only describe the version you have actually checked. Sending options and results can vary; clarity in the received file is the useful test.
